As information can now be shared instantaneously with social media, we must take responsibility as to how we discuss suicide through traditional and non-traditional media channels. Here are two informative flyers as to some appropriate guidelines on what and whatnot to say in relation to suicide. They also provide frameworks for how public relation teams can structure their messaging to have an empathetic tone while being cognizant of the emotional state of others that may feel they are in similar situations.
